About

Our Commitment

We understand how much it took for you to reach out.

We understand that you have dealt with situations and/or relationships that have left you struggling to find your pace, because you are tired of being a spectator in your life and not quite sure how you got there.

How I’m different

Counseling sessions with me will look different from those with other therapists you may have encountered.

I will help you to give me a glimpse of what your life looks like now.

Together we will look at everything from your sleep patterns, to the foods you eat, your stress management practices, and your past and current relationships. This overview will give me a clear idea of what ‘being you’ looks like.

From there, we will work together to identify strategies that will help you reach your goals and improve your relationship with yourself and others.

Then we will focus on a multifaceted approach that may include one of our auxiliary services: working with a dietitian, a stress management specialist, or a food coach in conjunction with counseling or life coaching.

Through my experiences working with many different people, I identified a common thread. I began noticing that their approach to everything from the food they ate to the way they dealt with stress affected the outcome of their counseling experience.

I found that by using a client-centered approach that includes cognitive behavioral strategies, stress management techniques, and enhancing nutritional needs, they achieved greater success.

My team and I want to be a partner in your journey so that your dreams can become goals, and your goals become reality.

About Me

My interest in helping others has accompanied me through my life’s journey.

My bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Maine allowed me to work in juvenile justice and public health arenas. That work fueled my desire to work with individuals in more depth.

I received a Master of Social Work degree from IUPUI which allowed me to counsel individuals as well as manage and develop clinical programs.

Through that work I have had the privilege of working with children, developmentally delayed adults, people struggling with their sexuality, victims of abuse, and people struggling with depression, grief, anxiety, troubled relationships, and chronic disease.

As I reflected back on my work with individuals through the years coupled with an increasing passion about providing an integrative option for individuals, I realized I had only one choice. That choice was to open my own counseling practice. The support of my husband, children, and grandchildren helped make this a reality.

Now I am able to provide individuals who prefer an integrative approach a place to grow and learn – A place that nurtures your body, mind, and soul.

We will create an individualized plan that meets your unique needs and comfort level. We will draw on cognitive behavioral strategies, stress management tools, dietary and food coaching to guide you on your journey to wellness.

It’s time to love yourself again inside and out. You deserve to live your best life. Get started today on a new integrative approach and finally reach your goals.

I look forward to supporting you and being a partner on your journey.
